    Great pattern! When you change colors, what do you do with the tails that are left?

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets 11 часов назад

      Thank you! With the tails, you will use a tapestry needle and weave them in between the stitches to hide them. Once you feel they’re secure you will cut the remaining tail.

    I made one of these to practice my age-old skills. I successfully completed it after watching your video several times.... it's very thorough, Thank You! When it was done, I put a bar of soap in it and washed my hands. I hung the bag (with the soap in it) on the faucet to dry but the 100% cotton yarn holds onto so much water that the soap just gets mushy. I think the soap will melt very quickly. I would like to give these as little gifts but seeing how mine looks hanging on the faucet (droopy and saggy and melty), I wouldn't. Would it be possible to make these out of some kind of twine? Maybe it would be more "airy" and dry better. Is it practical/possible to crochet with twine, or is there another "non-yarn" material that would allow the water to drain off the soap? e.g. natural jute, macrame cord, or cotton baker's twine?

    • @AmandaCrochets

      You can use any hook or yarn you’d like. You would just follow the size chart for the different head circumferences.

    When you cinch the drawstring it just loosely closes. When you use the soap, it slides around and wants to jump out of the bag because the drawstring doesn't keep the bag closed tightly. I tied a knot in the drawstring but I would be interested to see how you would solve this problem.

    Definitely questioning my own intelligence at this point 😂I have watched you do row 1 & 2 a million times and on the last stitch before the chain at the end of row 2 I am ending on a DC not a FPDC. I did ch. 35 like you said and did a DC in each stitch starting with the 3rd chain from the hook and ended up doing 33 DCs in row 1. Not sure how I am ending on a different stitch when repeating the sequence. Send help😭

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets 7 дней назад

      I'm sorry you're having difficulties! The waffle stitch can be a little tricky at first. For row 2, as long as your last stitch is a double crochet into the top of the chain, you should be just fine. Hopefully that helps!
